Due to its location only 24 km from the Pacific Ocean, Langley enjoys a temperate year-round climate, which supports a thriving agricultural industry with a large horse population. Fort Langley National Historical Site is one of Langley's biggest attractions, and preserves Langley's historical significance as an important Hudson's Bay Company trading fort. The Canadian Museum of Flight is another attraction worth visiting, as it houses over 25 aircraft dating back to the early 20th Century, as well as other related exhibits. Animal lovers should spend the day at the Greater Vancouver Zoo which is dedicated to preserving and protecting endangered species, and creating an educational environment that inspires appreciation and concern about wildlife and wild places. Langley also has numerous golf courses, offering a challenging day on the links for players of all expertise. For the wine lover, visit one or tour all of our spectacular wineries. Each of these activities and attractions is located half-an-hour or less from downtown Langley City.
