20th ANNUAL ARTS ALIVE FESTIVAL

Saturday, August 17th, 10 am to 5 pm, downtown Langley City

With over 200 visual and performing artists, our festival has become a signature event in the lower mainland. This free, family event features live musical performances, artists and artisans showcasing a myriad of mediums, live demonstrations, a children’s venue and special performance surprises throughout the day.

ORGANIC WASTE SOLUTION

Did you know that Metro Vancouver has mandated that all organic material must be diverted out of waste mainstream by December 31, 2014.

To help you get a head start, the Downtown Langley Business Association and Northwest Waste Solutions are offering a special opportunity to local merchants.

THE PLACE TO BE VIDEO

The City of Langley Development Services & Economic Development Department continue to aggressively and cost–effectively promote and market the City in a wide variety of means. The City of Langley video is appropriately titled “The Place To Be!’ Showcasing the City in a dynamic visual format interspersed with testimonials from the Mayor and selected business and community leaders.

Recognition should be given to the following organizations that provided generous sponsorship support, demonstrating the spirit of cooperation between the City of Langley and the business community to this endeavor: Downtown Langley Business Association, Cascades Casino Coast Hotel & Convention Centre, Redekop Kroeker Development Inc., OpenRoad Auto Group Ltd.

REMEMBRANCE DAY BANNERS

In addition to the 40 Remembrance Day banners purchased by businesses for our downtown in 2011, the business community has rallied around this wonderful show of respect for our veterans and another 30 banners have been added to the collection for 2012. This year's program was also a fundraiser for our local Legion.

ANTI GRAFFITI WRAPS IN THE DOWNTOWN

In partnership with BC Hydro and the City of Langley, we now have seventeen beautifully wrapped Hydro and City traffic boxes throughout our downtown. Click below to see the amazing transformations!
