Downtown Dollars are a local spending program designed to support small, independent businesses in Downtown Langley. They can be used like cash at participating shops, restaurants, and service providers, with no cost or fees for businesses to accept them.

Similar to a gift card (with no expiry), they can be used on their own or combined with cash, debit, or credit card. Spend them all in one place or shop around—it’s completely up to you.

Every Downtown Dollar spent is 100% reimbursed by the Downtown Langley Business Association, helping keep money circulating within our local business community.

Downtown Dollars are sold dollar-for-dollar.
What you pay is exactly what you get — no added fees, no hidden costs. Businesses always receive 100% of the value.

Downtown Dollars are accepted at participating businesses and work much like a gift card:

• Spend them all at one business or across multiple locations.

• Distributed through Downtown Langley Business Association promotions and social media giveaways!

Each year, approximately $50,000 in Downtown Dollars is circulated—making a meaningful impact on local businesses.

The program launched in 2011 as a way to compete with big-box gift cards and encourage spending within Downtown Langley’s locally owned businesses.

More than 100 businesses across 35+ categories currently accept Downtown Dollars, including retail, restaurants, and service-based businesses.
